Tracey Owens (Russell), aka TraceyGirlz has also always stood on three principles; empower, edify, and education to execute everything she does daily. This is especially true in her mental health field, her writings, speaking endeavors, and working with individuals. These morals are essential to who she is. As of late, she has been working on her doctoral degree from Northcentral University. She has earned her MSSW in Social Work from the University of Tennessee, BBA in Management from Lemoyne-Owen College, and a Certificate in Computerized Accounting. Her almost (20) years of teaching combined with close to (30) years of mental health experience has been a substantial benefit to her writing and speaking.
Her children, Dominique and Angel are a primary reason why she refuses to give up on options and alternatives that would normally be too much for most people. Now, she doesn’t want to sound like her life has always been rosy. She survived childhood sexual assault, domestic violence, rape, and incest. These incidents started from when she was as young as seven to as old as eighteen and took away every part of her being. But the one thing she refused to do was to die. Even when a gun was involved.
She hungers to make life better for the next generation. She believes that she must also not only show this same thing to her grandchildren (Maki, Karriyan, and Ava), but including others she encounters. With being a mother, grandmother, friend, sister, daughter, therapist, speaker, and writer. I must remember that God holds me accountable first. My personal motto is I aspire to inspire. I never believed that there is anything called a box that one can put me in to relegate my limitations and I share that same insight with others verbally, professionally, as well as in my writings. To further that, I’d say that I win only when my weaknesses are uplifted but my catalog of blessings are actualized via the word of God…Mark 10:27 “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.” NIV

She earned her MSSW in Social Work from the University of Tennessee, BBA in Management from Lemoyne-Owen College, and a Certificate in Computerized Accounting. She has almost 30 years of mental health experience, 10 years of teaching experience, coupled with a breadth of other experiences to aid in her other professional knowledge base, speaking gauge, and writing portfolio.
As a focal, she has always sought to remind her daughters (Angel and Dominique) that they are a primary reason that she refuses to give up. To be frank, her life has been less than fair to say the least. But the childhood sexual assault, domestic violence, rape, nor incest didn’t take away her drive.
